How It Works

At Impactorum, we’re all about simplicity. That’s why we offer four basic services – all revolving around helping you or your organization elevate your CSR/Sustainability/Circular impact:

·       One-on-One Coaching

·       Facilitated Group Mentoring

·       Fractional Leadership

·       Customized Workshops or Presentations

Just to be clear, we don’t take on discrete work projects, like conducting factory assessments or developing philanthropic guidelines. We’d be happy to refer you to someone who can do that work. But we do coach you and/or your business to maximize your ability to achieve your sustainability goals.

Are We A Match?

When you first contact us, we’ll schedule an initial (30-60 minute) call. This will allow us to get to know each other, determine if our values and methods are compatible and, most important, understand if we have what you need. There’s no sense moving forward if our mutual goals can’t be met.

Assessment

All of our work begins with a structured assessment. This allows us to “get under the hood” and find out what’s really going on. For an individual, this will consist of an in-depth conversation, usually lasting 90 minutes. We may also want to review relevant documents from your place of work. For a business, this will consist of a written survey and follow-up conversation. We will conduct this assessment with the senior leaders, the department leading the work, and key stakeholders across the organization. Depending on the scope, a business assessment may take several days to complete. The assessment will be billed separately from the rest of the work.

The Work

Once the assessment has been completed – and the results synthesized – we will develop a work plan and review it with you. This plan will include the goals of the work, the time required to complete the work, the major benchmarks to be achieved, and the cost. Once you sign off, the work will begin. For everyone’s planning purposes, here are the minimum engagement thresholds:

·       One-on-One Coaching: 3 sessions (1 hour each)

·       Facilitated Group Mentoring: 6 sessions (90 minutes each)

·       Fractional Leadership: 3 months (10+ hours/month)

·       Customized Workshops or Presentations: no minimum

Fees and Billing

There will be two fees:  The assessment and the work. The cost of the assessment depends on the size of the sampling; this will be discussed before we begin. Work fees will be presented with the assessment results. Our coaching, mentoring and workshop fees are based on number of sessions, not hours. Fractional leadership fees are based on a monthly retainer. In all cases, e-mail and phone engagement is included in the cost. Only travel (transportation, hotel, meal) and the rare exceptional expenses (such as special workshop materials) will be invoiced separately. Payments will be payable by check within 15 days of work completion or, in the case of fractional leadership, on a monthly basis throughout the engagement period.

If you are experiencing financial hardship, we will activate our “Value-Based Fee” arrangement. This means, you suggest a payment fee based on the perceived value of the services to be rendered, and we have the option of accepting it or counter-offering. If no agreement can be met, then we end the arrangement; no hard feelings.
